🎉💙 From Our First-Ever UI Health Intern to a Future Physician! 💙🎉 What an incredible journey it has been! Arjun joined us in 2023 as our very first UI Health administrative intern, and since then, he has consistently impressed us with his dedication, professionalism, positivity, and commitment to serving others. Watching him grow throughout his academic journey has been truly inspiring. Now, as he prepares to graduate from the University of Illinois and take the next step toward medical school, we couldn’t be more proud. It was our honor to write letters of recommendation in support of his applications, and we are excited to see where this next chapter takes him. One of the greatest compliments we can receive is when former volunteers and interns continue to stay connected, stop by to visit, and share their successes with us. It reminds us that the relationships built through Volunteer Services extend far beyond a single role or experience. Arjun, thank you for everything you’ve contributed to our team and our patients. Please join us in congratulating Adamaris Patino on her new role as a Nursing Technician at UI Health! 👏💙

Adamaris began her journey with UI Health as a dedicated volunteer and Administrative Intern, contributing almost 300 volunteer hours while gaining valuable experience, building professional skills, and making a positive impact across our organization.

Her story is a powerful reminder that volunteering is more than service, it’s a pathway to growth, opportunity, and career success. Through hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to learning, Adamaris turned her volunteer experience into a healthcare career.

🌍✨ UI Health was honored to welcome 10 international nursing students from Saint Louis College in Thailand through a collaborative experience hosted by our Clinical Rotations and Nursing teams! During their visit, the students had the opportunity to explore our Nursing Education, Research, Quality, and Compliance departments, gaining firsthand insight into the impactful work our nurses do every day across UI Health. They also participated in an engaging panel discussion where they learned more about hospital operations, nursing leadership, and the journey toward achieving MAGNET recognition. The experience concluded with a behind-the-scenes hospital tour led by our incredible UI Health volunteers, offering students an up-close look at the people, innovation, compassion, and teamwork that make UI Health exceptional.

A special shoutout to our amazing Clinical Rotations Coordinators, Nicole and Pamela, for helping coordinate and support this meaningful experience. Your dedication, leadership, and commitment to educational partnerships continue to make a lasting impact! 💙🩵🤍
