👌🏼 Follow along for simple rehab tips 👌🏼

🔸 Stop chasing the pain. MOST of the time, your shoulder blade symptoms ARE coming from the neck.

🔸 This exercise is a McKenzie cervical retraction and extension. The neck is first retracted and then extended, and once you get to the top, there’s a tiny bit of lateral wiggle.

✅ Doing this exercise will have a profound effect on your life if you’re willing to take the challenge. The more often you do it, the more you’ll see it’s impact

Follow for simple rehab tips ⬆️

🚪 Find a doorway. Lift a leg up to 90 degrees. Keep the leg against the wall. Bring the foot outward x10 each leg

💪🏻 When you move your hip into internal rotation and feel that stretch on the outside of your hip, you’re lengthening the muscles that externally rotate and stabilize the joint…mainly the posterior glute med, upper glute max, and deep rotators. At the same time, you’re strengthening your internal rotators and improving control of the hip. It’s not just a stretch…it’s mobility + stability working together to keep your hips and low back moving well. 💪

Do your shoulder blades wing? 🪽

The serratus anterior is a fan-shaped muscle in the chest that attaches the shoulder blade to the rib cage.

The serratus anterior rotates the scapula, allowing the arm to be raised above 90 degrees. It also protracts the scapula, helping hold it against the rib cage. This muscle is essential for proper shoulder function.

Weakness of the serratus anterior can cause scapular winging. When this happens, the shoulder blade appears to stick out or “wing” away from the rib cage, making the inner border of the scapula more noticeable.

Try this simple exercise and see how you feel. 💪

Follow along for super helpful rehab tips 💪🏻

🤜🏼Why do this instead of standing band rotations?

👉🏼Because the floor creates a stable base for your shoulder. With your elbow locked down, your rotator cuff has to do more of the work while your shoulder blade stays in a better position.

💪🏻More stability. Better control. Stronger shoulders.

✅ Doing this exercise will have a profound effect on your life if you’re willing to take the challenge. The more often you do it, the more you’ll see it’s impact

👉🏼Fix your shoulder blades first!

🔸If your shoulder blades aren’t stable, your shoulder joint is forced to do all the extra work. That overload is what keeps pain hanging around. When you build stability in your shoulder blades, you create a strong foundation so your shoulder can finally move, heal, and perform the way it’s supposed to.

🔸 Do this daily for about 2-4 min. Let me know how it works 💪🏻

✅ Doing this exercise will have a profound effect on your life if you’re willing to take the challenge. The more often you do it, the more you’ll see it’s impact

Train your 🍑 better 💪🏻

There are a ton of ways to train your glute medius. The most common you will see online is a side lying clam shell. This is a fine exercise and is great for beginners and people getting started…

If you want to level up and make it a more functional exercise and get more glute activation try this standing glute clam shell against the wall.

Adding a band will get the glute to fore more. Hinging the hips makes for a more functional exercise. And the opposite glute has to fore in order to keep the opposite leg in the upright position.

Give this leveled up clam shell a try for stronger glutes 🍑 💪🏻
