Today, we’re celebrating a HUGE WIN at Wanda Way Homes ! 🏠💖

Just three weeks ago, Javon “Juju” Johnson returned home from River City determined to build a better future. One of his goals was to secure employment within 90 days. Well, Juju didn’t just meet the goal—he CRUSHED IT! 💪🏾🔥

In only THREE WEEKS, Juju secured TWO JOBS and is already taking major steps toward building the life he deserves.

Juju, we are incredibly proud of you. Your dedication, resilience, and commitment to your recovery and reentry journey are inspiring. You are proof that with determination, support, and a willingness to keep moving forward, anything is possible.

Wanda Way Homes would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Victoria of Victoria Lane Boutique for her generous donation of clothing to support individuals in our recovery housing program.

Many of the men and women entering recovery are rebuilding their lives from the ground up and often arrive with very few personal belongings. Donations like these help restore dignity, confidence, and hope as they take steps toward a brighter future.

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like Victoria who continue to invest in the well-being of others and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Wanda Way Homes is honored to announce that Generation NOW has received a $15,000 Boots on the Ground Fund grant to support our Recovery Housing Program! 💖🏡

This funding will help us continue providing safe and supportive housing, recovery-focused programming, workforce development resources, peer support, and opportunities that help residents build stable and successful futures.

Every dollar invested in recovery creates hope, strengthens families, and transforms lives. We are grateful to the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the City of Cincinnati for believing in community-based organizations that are making a difference every day.

Grateful to share that Wanda Way Homes 🏡Recovery Housing Initiative has been awarded an additional $15,000 grant to support our mission of providing safe, stable recovery housing and supportive services for individuals rebuilding their lives after substance use challenges.

This funding will help us continue meeting the housing and recovery needs of our residents while creating a community where healing, accountability, and hope can thrive. We are incredibly thankful to our funding partners and everyone who believes in the work we are doing.

This Memorial Day weekend, we’re also focused on relapse prevention through connection and community. Many of our residents will be attending AA and NA meetings, and we’ll be hosting a Movie Night with pizza and popcorn, a campus brunch, and a Memorial Day barbecue and bonfire with games and fellowship.

Recovery can feel lonely, especially during holidays. That’s why creating positive experiences, healthy outlets, and a sense of belonging is so important. Recovery isn’t just about staying sober—it’s about building a life worth celebrating.

Our Wanda Way Homes 🏡 residents had a great time at a local job fair on Thursday, exploring career opportunities, networking with employers, and taking steps toward greater stability and independence.

We were proud to see them show up looking professional, confident, and ready to invest in their future. At Wanda Way Homes, we provide case management support to help residents with job searches, career planning, and employment growth—even after they secure a job.

Today at Wanda Way Homes, we celebrated a very special milestone for one of our residents, Ms. Haley. 💕🎈

After spending the past five months at Wanda Way Homes, Haley is stepping into her next chapter in recovery and independent living, and we could not be more proud of her journey.

Haley is a dedicated mother, a hardworking woman balancing two jobs, and someone who has remained committed to her recovery every single day. She is now officially a year and a half clean and continues to show what perseverance, accountability, and healing truly look like.

Throughout her time on our co-ed campus, Haley became an inspiration to many of our residents — both men and women alike. Her growth, consistency, and willingness to keep pushing forward has encouraged others around her to continue fighting for their own recovery journeys.

At Wanda Way Homes, we believe recovery is not just about sobriety. It’s about rebuilding lives, restoring confidence, reconnecting with family, and creating stability for the future.

Although Haley is transitioning out of housing, she remains part of the Wanda Way Homes family. She will continue participating in OP services, recovery groups, and community support because we believe ongoing connection and accountability are essential to long-term success.

Today, in honor of Mother’s Day, our team celebrated Haley with flowers and balloons to recognize not only her recovery journey, but also her strength as a mother working hard to reclaim her life and future for herself and her children. 💐

Please help us wish Haley continued success, peace, healing, and growth as she enters this next season.

Wanda Way Homes would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our valued community partner, the YWCA 💛

Following today’s Rising Star leadership class, the YWCA generously donated leftover meals to support residents at Wanda Way Homes Recovery Housing Program. Acts of kindness like this make a meaningful difference in the day-to-day experience of those we serve.

Tonight’s evening group was extra special—residents enjoyed Taco Wednesday 🌮, creating their own tacos and taco salads while participating in treatment. Moments like these bring a sense of comfort, joy, and community into the recovery journey.

We are grateful for partners like the YWCA who continue to show up, give back, and invest in the well-being of our community. Together, we are creating pathways for healing, stability, and hope.
