Hot take:

Being a respectful wife doesn’t require deleting your personality.

“I’ve just learned to keep my mouth shut.”

I’ve heard that sentence more times than I can count.

But is that really what biblical respect looks like?

What if we’ve confused honoring our husbands with silencing ourselves?

God didn’t save you, sanctify you, and give you wisdom just so you’d never speak.

Biblical respect isn’t the absence of words.
It’s the presence of Christ in them.

This article isn’t about encouraging disrespect.

It’s about rediscovering what Scripture actually teaches about respect, communication, and Christlike love within marriage. Because biblical respect isn’t about disappearing—it’s about honoring Christ in both our hearts and our words.

Before the week begins, take a moment to be still. Open your Bible. Spend time in prayer. Worship with your church family. Let His Word shape your heart before the world tries to shape your mind.

No matter what this week holds, you don’t have to face it in your own strength. The same God who has been faithful in every season has already gone before you.

Distraction is real. But so is God’s grace.
