The temperature is rising this week! Extreme heat can cause complications in pregnancy. The EPA states that as little as one day of extreme heat can increase risk of high blood pressure disorders and other complications. Don’t be like me, 9 years ago, hypertensive, out in the heat for the Fourth of July! Here are some do’s and don’ts, use the CDC heat risk tool (link in bio), check on family and friends, and remember that pregnancy complications due to extreme heat is an environmental and political issue! Dial 2-1-1 to find a cooling center near you.
