Today we celebrate Sharon as she retires from Pioneer Recovery Center. ❤️
It is hard to sum up what someone brings to a place after years of simply being part of its everyday life.
Sharon brought warmth, humor, honesty, and a lot of life experience to Pioneer. She is kind, but she is also strong. She is a woman who has weathered things, figured things out, and kept going.
She hunts. She fishes. She gardens. She loves the outdoors. She knows something about resilience—not as a concept we talk about in treatment, but as something you actually live.
And maybe that is one of the greatest things she gave the women who came through our doors: the chance to know another woman who has lived a real, imperfect, complicated life and is still here—laughing, caring about people, planting things, catching fish, and moving forward.
Over the years, Sharon became part of the fabric of Pioneer. There are countless conversations, ordinary moments, inside jokes, hard days and good days that happened because she was here.
Today we're grateful for all of them.
Sharon, thank you for the years you gave to Pioneer and to the women we serve.
Now go enjoy your garden, the woods, the water, your family, and the freedom to decide exactly what you want to do with your day.
You earned it.

We currently have availability for women needing ASAM 3.5 high-intensity residential substance use disorder treatment, with the ability to transition into longer-term residential care when more time and support are needed.
