Summer adventures are here and so are the sniffles☀️🤧
If your child is sneezing, congested, coughing, or dealing with watery eyes, you may be wondering: Is it seasonal allergies or a summer cold?
While they can look very similar, there are a few key differences that can help point you in the right direction. Knowing what’s causing your child’s symptoms can help them feel better faster and get back to enjoying summer break.
Not sure what’s causing your child’s symptoms? Our pediatric team is here to help. 💙 And if your child gets sick over the weekend, our Rapid Care Clinic is open and ready to provide the care they need when your pediatrician’s office is closed.
Because kids don’t always get sick on schedule.

From first steps to big milestones, we’ve had the privilege of watching so many incredible kids grow up right here in our community. As graduation season arrives, we’re celebrating the Class of 2026 and all they’ve accomplished. Congratulations to our graduates! We can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you! 🎓✨

Last week the Coeur d’Alene School District elementary school counselors toured our Center for Healthy Living with David Atkins to learn more about available resources and to strengthen community partnerships. By building relationships and increasing awareness, we can better connect children and families with the support they need.

Say hello to Dr. Jonathan Jerkins — pediatric pro, outdoor explorer, and all‑around good vibe generator at Coeur d’Alene Pediatrics.

Dr. Jerkins has been part of the CDA Peds family for nine years, bringing big heart and great energy to every visit. He trained at the University of Tennessee, has a Business Management degree from Harding University, and is passionate about making our clinic a fun, welcoming place for kids, families, and staff.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him adventuring with his wife, Leslie, and their three kids — hiking to alpine lakes, traveling whenever they can, or catching concerts from their favorite musicians.

We’re lucky to have Dr. Jerkins on our team.

🐝✨ We had an absolute blast at our co-brand reveal party with Heritage Health! The energy, the smiles, the excitement—our hearts are full.

Even sweeter, we got to introduce everyone to our newest team member, Bee Wellington! He’s already buzzing his way into the hearts of our staff and families.
