Our Story
Diversus Health was established 145 years ago, when we were named the Springs Relief Society. At the time, we were known for delivering coal, lumber, and clothing to our community’s most vulnerable. Today, we are the largest behavioral health care provider in El Paso, Park, and Teller counties, in Colorado. We believe in providing exceptional mental health and well-being for all.

This Labor Day weekend, we celebrated the people whose everyday work makes our community stronger by connecting with neighbors and families at the City of Colorado Springs Labor Day Liftoff and the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce Labor Day Parade. Along the way, our volunteers helped hundreds of community members connect with mental health resources, reminding them that support is always within reach.

Thank you to our volunteers for making these connections possible, and to the hardworking community members who make the Pikes Peak region a place we love to call home.

Homelessness often starts long before someone loses housing. Childhood trauma and ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) are common risk factors.

That's why healing matters as much as shelter. Through our on-campus partnerships with organizations like Diversus Health, guests have access to clinical mental health counseling to work through the root causes behind their struggles with homelessness.

Addressing the root cause is critical to lasting transformation. ❤🙏

When disaster strikes a Colorado community, our Disaster & Emergency Response Team brings calm in the middle of chaos with a listening ear, techniques to regulate panic, and connections to helpful resources.

This month, that meant volunteering alongside Pueblo County and other organizations at Pueblo's Disaster Assistance Center following the Aspen Acres Fire.

Over five days, our team helped 346 displaced community members find steady ground by offering calming presence to those overwhelmed by fear, easing uncertainty with clear information, and connecting people with resources to take their next step.

Recovering from a community disaster isn't just physical. Diversus Health's Disaster & Emergency Response Team makes sure mental health has a place in it too.

Thank you to Pueblo County and everyone who came together for this effort. Diversus Health's team helped hundreds, but together we eased the burden on thousands. That level of impact only happens when volunteers and organizations from across the state show up for one another.

When one Colorado community is hit with a disaster, the rest of Colorado shows up.

If you or someone you know has been affected by the Aspen Acres fire, you can find more information on the Disaster Assistance Center and other resources here: https://mars.colorado.gov/DAC

The El Paso County Fair first began in 1905 as a neighborhood celebration of a bountiful potato harvest. Over a century later, it's grown into a community-wide celebration of the entire Pikes Peak region.
Turns out, the simple act of bringing people together is more powerful than we often realize. Community connection and showing up for one another are some of the most protective factors for mental health and wellbeing.
That's why we're proud sponsors of the El Paso County Fair. We're honored to support a tradition that has given this community a space to gather and celebrate the place we call home for over a century.
Join the Diversus Health team on Saturday, July 18th for a day of connecting with the community at the El Paso County Fair and Events Center in Calhan. Stop by our table, say hello, and join us in celebrating the history and heart of our region.

Anxiety doesn’t always look like anxiety. Sometimes it’s a headache that lingers, a heart that races for no reason, or nights spent tossing and turning despite your exhaustion. It can show up as an upset stomach, tense shoulders, clenched jaws, or a mind that just won’t stop overthinking.

These physical signs are easy to overlook, but they’re just as real as emotional ones. If you’re treating the symptoms but still don’t feel like yourself, it might be time to check in with your mental health, too.

Your mind and body are deeply connected—both deserve your care and compassion. You’re not alone, and support is here when you need it. 💙

Summer doesn't solve every struggle. Anxiety doesn't disappear. Depression doesn't take a vacation. But small moments of sunlight, fresh air, movement, and connection can help recharge what's been depleted. Even if your battery feels low today, you're allowed to seek moments that help you power back up.
What's one thing that helps recharge your mental battery?

For many people, the messages they received growing up influenced how they view stress, anxiety, depression, and seeking support.
"Be strong."
"Keep it to yourself."
"Don't burden others."
While these messages often come from a place of love, they can also make it harder to reach out when support is needed.
This BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month, let's continue creating space for honest conversations, healing, and support—without shame or stigma.
Seeking help isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign that your wellbeing matters.

These phrases may seem harmless, but they can dismiss real experiences and make it harder for someone to feel heard. Support doesn’t require having the perfect response. Sometimes the most meaningful thing you can say is, “That sounds really difficult.”
Validation isn't weakness. It's connection.

Freedom from pretending you're okay when you're not.
Freedom from carrying everything on your own.
Freedom from the belief that asking for help is weakness.
The path to healing often begins when we let go of the silence and shame surrounding mental health.
