The Bridge at Columbia is proud to recognize Christy Thrasher as our July 2026 Going the Extra Mile Award recipient! 🌟

Since joining our team in 2002, Christy has consistently shown dedication, professionalism, and a deep commitment to our residents and staff. During our Executive Director’s medical leave, she stepped in to help oversee daily operations while continuing to lead our Lifestyles department without missing a beat.

Christy worked extended hours, supported multiple departments, addressed resident and family concerns, and helped guide staff through challenging situations with compassion and confidence. Her leadership, selflessness, and willingness to help wherever needed truly reflect what it means to go the extra mile.

🎉 The Bridge at Columbia is thrilled to recognize Aalyiah Woodard as the recipient of our June 2026 Going the Extra Mile Award!

👩‍⚕️ Aalyiah has been a dedicated member of our team since October 2024, serving as one of our incredible Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). From the moment she walks through our doors, she brings a bright smile, a positive attitude, and a caring heart that our residents truly love. Aalyiah was nominated for going above and beyond when she stepped up to care for residents on both floors. She accepted the challenge with grace, professionalism, and compassion, never once complaining while continuing to provide the exceptional care our residents deserve.

Aalyiah, your kindness, selflessness, and unwavering dedication do not go unnoticed. Thank you for the love, compassion, and comfort you give our residents each and every day. 🎉 Congratulations to Corbyn Bartley, our May 2026 Going the Extra Mile Winner! 👏

Corbyn has been a valued member of The Bridge at Columbia team since September 2025, working primarily as a server in the dining room. He is known for his willingness to help wherever he is needed and for consistently demonstrating a team-first attitude. Recently, when the Care Department was short a care aide, Corbyn stepped in to assist without hesitation. His support made a meaningful difference, and the following day residents shared multiple compliments about his kindness and care. Not only did Corbyn help when asked, but he also recognized needs on his own and volunteered his assistance without being prompted. His efforts did not go unnoticed. ⭐

Members of the Care Department sent numerous messages to our Resident Care Director praising Corbyn for his outstanding support, teamwork, and dedication to resident care. Corbyn exemplifies the spirit of Going the Extra Mile. His willingness to work across departments and support both residents and fellow team members reflects the high standard of quality care for which The Bridge at Columbia is known. Thank you, Corbyn, for the compassion, teamwork, and exceptional service you provide to our residents every day. We are so proud to have you on the team! 💙
