I am an Occupational Therapist with 16 years of experience in the field of pediatrics (e.g. early intervention, outpatient private practice, schools and home health). But more importantly, I am a mom of three awesome, energetic and kind kids. In 2018, my youngest son was diagnosed with Autism- level 2. Having a child with ASD completely changes one's perspective on parenting, and even more so when
having to navigate the complex world of trying to feed a "picky" eater. I've always wanted to be a feeding therapist since getting my OT license, but after having my youngest son and having to cut down 4 gallons of milk a week to only one so that he can be interested in trying new foods, it has been my life's work to help and support families who struggle just like we did as well as help the child through her/his feeding journey. Little Chefs was born out of the need to provide feeding therapy services in the child's natural environment, giving the child the opportunity to explore foods in the safe and comfort of the child's home. We nurture the parent-child relationship, building trust by making simple meals from scratch, and using all of our senses to explore foods.
