Congratulations to Ayman Y. for being selected as our next SSTAR of the month! Ayman was nominated by both Speech-Language Pathologist Miss Aaliyah, and Occupational Therapist Miss Niki! Both therapists are beyond thrilled to have the SST spotlight shine on such a deserving young man! Miss Niki states, “Ayman is doing so well in OT. I have been seeing him for a year now and he has demonstrated significant progress towards his OT goals.” Furthermore, Miss Niki states, “When Ayman started, he had difficulty transitioning and sitting at the table for extended periods of time. Since then, he knows exactly what is expected of him each session and will transition with ease and sit at the table until the activity is complete. He has picked up on a routine here (placing his shoes where they belong and starting on the swing for 3 mins; he is especially particular about these 3 minutes!! Haha). I am so impressed with him and am excited to continue to make progress together!” Miss Aaliyah has similar praise for our SSTar. “Ayman brings his fun personality to every speech session and always knows how to make his SLP laugh. He has been doing a wonderful job participating, staying engaged, and working hard toward his communication goals.” Miss Aaliyah also feels, “Ayman is excited to learn and especially enjoys interactive activities and games during our sessions. His positive attitude and enthusiasm make him such a joy to work with!”
Way to shine, Ayman!
Ayman Y. is an awesome 8-year-old who we love seeing in our clinic each week. During his school day, Ayman enjoys reading books. At home, he likes to play Minecraft, build with Legos, or just relax while watching either Sesame Street or The Incredibles. Ayman likes to dress up for Halloween and is excited to dress up as either a bear or monster-slime this year! (Both costumes sound so fun!) If Ayman were to win one million dollars, he would buy a variety of different toys and treats, such as cupcakes, donuts, toy cars, or toys from Toy Story. (That sounds like a super-fun… and delicious way to spend the money!)
