More Verdigris has arrived at North Market. 🌿

We’ve expanded our capsule collection at Market Blooms inside Columbus’ historic North Market, bringing together even more Verdigris favorites—from botanical skincare and body care to our hand-poured beeswax candles.

It’s a little corner of the Verdigris apothecary, right in the heart of Columbus—and an easy way to shop some of our favorites whenever you’re visiting North Market.

Can two chicken flocks really become one? 🐓

After weeks of growing up alongside our established hens, it was finally time to bring the younger chickens—including one increasingly obvious young rooster—into the main flock.

In One Flock?, we follow the integration process: introductions, negotiations, a little chicken politics, and the inevitable question of who exactly thinks they’re in charge.

Because apparently chickens have opinions about absolutely everything.

What did medical care look like on the early American frontier? 🌿

At the Gathering at Garst, we joined a historical midwife for a scavenger hunt through the encampment—searching for the tools she might have used while learning about the herbs and remedies that were part of her practice.

It was a fascinating look at the knowledge, resourcefulness, and plant medicine that helped people care for one another when the nearest modern pharmacy was still a couple of centuries away.

From the hive to the honey jar. 🍯🐝

Harvesting honey is only the beginning. Once the frames come out of the hives, the next stage begins—bringing them inside, uncapping the comb, extracting the honey, and starting the process that eventually gets it into the jar.

These clips follow our harvest from the Verdigris apiary into the first stages of processing this season’s honey.
