As our Volunteer & Events Coordinator, Lucy brings so much energy and care to the events and experiences that bring our community together. From coordinating volunteers to helping make DSACO events welcoming and memorable, she is always ready to jump in and make things happen.

This conversation will bring together people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to share experiences and help inform a better understanding of what matters most to Ohio’s developmental disability community.

In coordination with DSACO: Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio, ElevateDD is pleased to present “Beyond the Checkup: Advancing Comprehensive Care for People with Down Syndrome” on October 7!

Join healthcare leaders and Down syndrome experts for a conversation about providing comprehensive, coordinated, and person-centered care across the lifespan.

This webinar will explore Nationwide Children's approach to serving the Down syndrome community, current clinical guidance, and coordination across specialties. We’ll also look at broader efforts to improve healthcare access and outcomes for people with Down syndrome, including the National Down Syndrome Society’s CARE DS initiative.

Speakers will share insights into what effective care coordination can look like and how healthcare professionals and families can work together to support better health outcomes for people with Down syndrome at every stage of life.

This week, we were able to connect with people and families at both the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities Provider Fair and the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities Block Party & Provider Fair.

Connecting with people with developmental disabilities and their families is an important part of our work. These conversations give us the opportunity to listen, learn more about what people are experiencing, and build relationships that help us better understand where support is needed.

We’re grateful to FCBDD and DCBDD for bringing their communities together and including us in their events. We value the opportunity to listen and learn from the people and families we serve.
