May is Preeclampsia Awareness Month 💜
At Birthing Miracles, we believe education equals empowerment. Preeclampsia can happen during pregnancy or postpartum, and knowing the warning signs can save lives.

✨ Some studies show adequate calcium intake during pregnancy may help reduce the risk of preeclampsia, especially for those with low dietary calcium intake. Talk with your provider before starting supplements.

⚠️ Warning Signs of Preeclampsia:
• Severe headache that won’t go away
• Vision changes or blurry vision
• Swelling of face or hands
• Sudden weight gain
• Upper right abdominal pain
• High blood pressure
• Shortness of breath
• Nausea or vomiting after mid-pregnancy
• Feeling “off” or unwell

🥛 Calcium-rich foods include:
• Dairy products
• Leafy greens
• Almonds
• Fortified plant milks
• Yogurt and cheese

These pictures mean so much to me! This beautiful young lady caught her brother! She wants to be a midwife and is already learning and studying! You may see her at visits or possibly births as she wants to learn Now! She already is learning how to do some of the basics and anatomy of the body! Here is to the next generations of midwives! I look forward to staying close to this family for awhile God always has His plans!
