I saw the May 1st moon from the airplane home from France, it was lovely

Two Full Moons in May 2026! 🌕

This May features a rare lunar lineup with two full moons in one month:

🌸 May 1 — Flower Moon
Peaks tonight! Named for the spring wildflowers in full bloom, it marks a time of renewal and growth.

💙 May 31 — Blue Moon
This is the second full moon in a single calendar month.

Both are micromoons this year, meaning they’ll appear slightly smaller and dimmer as they reach their farthest point from Earth.

A great opportunity to enjoy the night sky and capture some beautiful moments!
