🗳️ New Hampshire, the State Primary is almost here!

Voting matters. The people we elect make decisions that shape our communities, our families, and our futures. Our voices deserve to be heard. Communities are stronger when we show up. 💜

Primaries matter too! They help determine which candidates will appear on the ballot in November, so your voice matters at every step of the election process.

The NH State Primary is Tuesday, September 8. Make a plan, know where you’re going, and VOTE! 🗳️

Find voting information, polling locations, registration information, and more at sos.nh.gov/elections/voters.

Gloria Steinem spent her life fighting for a more equal world. A journalist, organizer, and leader of the feminist movement, she helped bring abortion, reproductive freedom, equal pay, bodily autonomy, and gender equality into the national conversation.

From co-founding Ms. magazine to organizing alongside generations of activists, Gloria challenged the systems that limited women’s choices and helped change what generations believed was possible. She never stopped using her voice to push for progress.

We honor her by continuing the work she dedicated her life to: protecting reproductive freedom, fighting for equality, and building a future where everyone has the freedom to make decisions about their own lives and bodies.

Rest in power, Gloria. Thank you for lighting so many torches. ❤️

At Equality Health Center, we’re proud to provide s*xual and reproductive healthcare, education, prevention, and support for our community at every stage of life.

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. 🩵

Ovarian cancer can be difficult to detect early, which is why awareness and knowing what’s normal for your body are so important. Symptoms can often be caused by many common, non-cancerous conditions, but new or persistent changes are always worth talking about with your healthcare provider.

While there is currently no routine screening test for ovarian cancer, routine healthcare gives you an opportunity to discuss your health, any changes you’ve noticed, and your family history with your provider.

This month, we stand with ovarian cancer survivors, honor those we have lost, and raise awareness for everyone impacted by ovarian cancer. 🩵

This week, we lost two icons whose passing hits especially close to our hearts. 💜

Dolly Parton and Tim Curry each left an unforgettable mark on the LGBTQIA+ community and on generations of people who found joy and freedom in being exactly who they are.

Dolly Parton spent decades leading with love instead of judgment. As a woman of faith and a country music icon, she proudly stood by her LGBTQIA+ fans and championed love and acceptance. Glamorous, vibrant and unapologetically feminine, Dolly celebrated womanhood on her own terms and reminded us there is always room for a little more kindness in this world.

Tim Curry’s iconic portrayal of Dr. Frank-N-Furter helped make The Rocky Horror Picture Show so much more than a movie. It became a celebration of self-expression, s*xuality, gender, camp, and being different. For generations of LGBTQIA+ people, Rocky Horror became a place to find freedom, community, and belonging, a legacy Curry recognized and was proud to be part of.

Their legacies are different, but both brought more color, joy, acceptance, and fabulousness into this world.

We’re sending so much love to our community this week. Hold space for yourself and for each other, and honor these icons in the best way we know how: be yourself, stand up for others, sing loudly, dance freely, and keep enjoying the art they gave us. Rest in peace, Dolly & Tim.

Today is Women’s Equality Day! 💜

August 26 marks the certification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, a major milestone in the fight for women’s right to vote in the United States. While this victory did not guarantee equal access to the ballot for all women, it became an important part of a much larger movement toward equality.

Today, we honor the strength of those who pushed for change, recognize the growth that came from their work, and celebrate the progress that continues to be made.

And as we celebrate how far we’ve come, we keep looking forward toward greater equality, greater opportunity, and the freedom for every person to have a voice in the decisions that shape their life. 💜

Well, we certainly do love a good dance break! 💃😂

But when she’s not showing off her moves, Cecile, our Billing & Insurance Coordinator, is here to help make the often-confusing world of healthcare billing and insurance a little easier to understand.

Whether you have questions about a bill, need help navigating insurance or Medicaid, or want to learn more about self-pay options and available funding for your visit, Cecile is always happy to help. 💜

Having an in-office billing person who can actually sit down with you, answer your questions, and help you understand your options is pretty great - the dance moves are just a bonus. 😉
