Armed with drumsticks and yoga balls, they laughed, tapped, drummed, and showed us all that rhythm has no age limit!!!

The room was filled with music, smiles, and a few residents who may or may not be auditioning for the next PVC rock band. 😄

Who knew yoga balls could make such great drums?

Another day of making memories, sharing laughs, and keeping the beat at Pleasant View Center

This morning, HealthDirect showed up with bagels and cream cheese for our LNAs and MNAs, but what they really brought was a reminder that the work our staff does every day is seen.
Long-term care is not easy work. It requires patience on the hard days, compassion on the busiest days, and heart every single day. That's why it means so much when community partners take the time to recognize the people behind the scrubs.
HealthDirect has never been a partner that only shows up when asked. They show up because they genuinely care about the people who care for others.
To our LNAs and MNAs, we hope you enjoyed your breakfast. And to HealthDirect, thank you for continually investing in the morale, appreciation, and well-being of our team.
We often say it takes a village. Today was another reminder that we have a pretty incredible one. ❤️

Who knew a balloon could cause this much excitement?!!!

The mission was simple: keep the balloon in the air.

The reality? Lots of laughs, plenty of teamwork, a few "don't let it drop!" moments, and enough smiles to brighten the entire building. ❤️

One of my favorite things about days like this is watching our residents interact with one another. Conversations happen naturally. Friendships grow stronger. People who may not always participate find themselves joining in. Before you know it, the room is filled with cheering, laughter, and pure joy.

These moments remind us that life isn't measured by age—it's measured by the memories we make, the connections we build, and the laughter we share.

Today, a balloon became the star of the show, our residents became the MVPs, and everyone walked away a little happier than when they came in.

Thank you to our amazing Activities team for always finding creative ways to keep our residents engaged, active, and smiling.

When our PERL, Sarah, reached out to Tucker's, she was simply hoping to connect with a local business that values healthcare workers. What she didn't expect was an immediate and enthusiastic response.

Without hesitation, Hale and the team at Tucker's stepped up and provided meal vouchers for our LNAs and MNAs during LNA Week.

As Hale shared, Tucker's "Operation Good Eats for Great People" began during the pandemic and continues today because of the deep respect they have for healthcare workers and first responders who show up every day to care for others.

That message hit home.

Our LNAs and MNAs may not wear capes every day, but they are heroes in the lives of our residents. They work long shifts, miss holidays with their families, comfort people during difficult moments, celebrate victories, and provide care with compassion even on the toughest days.

Today, on our Superhero-themed day, it felt especially meaningful to see our staff receive these vouchers. It wasn't just about a meal. It was about feeling seen. It was about knowing that people in our community recognize and appreciate what they do.

To Hale and everyone at Tucker's, thank you for believing in healthcare workers. Thank you for continuing a program that started during one of the most challenging times in healthcare. And thank you for helping us remind our LNAs and MNAs that their hard work matters.

Your generosity brought smiles to our team today, but more importantly, it reminded them that their dedication does not go unnoticed.

From all of us at Pleasant View Center, thank you for helping us celebrate our everyday heroes

Sweet surprise for our amazing LNAs and MNAs!!!!

A huge thank you to Amedisys Hospice for stopping by and treating our staff to donuts today during LNA Week!

Your continued support, generosity, and presence never go unnoticed. Whether it's a celebration, appreciation event, or simply finding ways to brighten someone's day, you always show up for our team and we are so grateful for that.

To our LNAs and MNAs, we hope you enjoyed the sweet treat. You deserve every bit of recognition for the compassion, dedication, and hard work you bring to our residents every single day. ❤

Thank you, Amedisys Hospice, for helping us celebrate the people who make Pleasant View Center such a special place

Our team showed up today sporting their favorite teams, big smiles, and plenty of spirit!!!!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our Sports Day celebration and enjoyed the delicious subs and wraps. Seeing our LNAs and MNAs laughing, connecting, and taking a well-deserved break together is exactly what this week is all about.

Just like in sports, every great team needs dedicated players and our LNAs and MNAs are the MVPs who show up every day for our residents with compassion, patience, and heart.

Thank you for all that you do. We hope you enjoyed today's lunch as much as we enjoyed celebrating YOU

Many of you recently saw the smiles that the Road to Independence donkeys brought to our residents during their visit to Pleasant View Center. What you may not know is that programs like theirs rely heavily on community support to continue the amazing work they do.

Road to Independence has always been generous with their time, bringing joy, comfort, and unforgettable moments to our residents. Now they need our help.

They will be holding their Kick Us Forward Fundraiser on July 12, 2026, and every ticket purchased helps support their mission and the wonderful animals that touch so many lives.

If you've ever smiled at one of their donkey visits, laughed at a photo, or seen the happiness they bring to others, consider showing up and supporting this great cause.

Let's help our friends the same way they've helped us ❤️

Some visitors walk through our doors. Others leave hoofprints on our hearts!!!!

Today, our residents and staff had the absolute pleasure of welcoming back the donkeys from Road to Independence for their second visit to Pleasant View Center, and what a joy it was!

There is something special about watching a resident's face light up when they see an animal. Conversations start, memories come flooding back, laughter fills the room, and for a little while, worries seem to disappear. The benefits of animal visits go far beyond the smiles we see. They help decrease stress, reduce feelings of loneliness, encourage socialization, stimulate memories, and bring comfort in a way that words sometimes cannot.

But today wasn't just about the donkeys.

It was about connection.

It was about seeing residents, staff, families, and visitors gathered together, smiling, laughing, and sharing a moment that made the day a little brighter.

To the incredible team at Road to Independence, thank you for making the trip to see us once again. Thank you for your time, your dedication, and for sharing these amazing animals with our Pleasant View family. Your visits create memories that last far beyond the day itself.

The donkeys may have gone home, but the smiles they left behind are still here. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Jenny from Otsuka for helping us celebrate our incredible LNAs and MNAs!!!!

Jenny went above and beyond by bringing an amazing spread of pastries and delicious yogurt parfaits for our team. It means so much to see our support partners not only recognize our nurses during Nurses Week, but also take the time to show love and appreciation to the LNAs and MNAs who work tirelessly every day to care for our residents.

The smiles this morning said it all!

Thank you, Jenny, for always showing up, supporting our staff, and helping us make this special week even sweeter. We are grateful for your kindness, generosity, and continued support
