The Harris Foundation has become a voice for the still-suffering addict in Whitley County because our staff has lived the life we now help people escape. We know what works because recovery changed our own lives first.

Last month, Program Director JodyBeth Walker served as guest speaker for Whitley County Operation UNITE, and yesterday Andrew Fuson, Director of Legal Services, carried that same message of hope and recovery.

Our staff once sat on the other side of addiction, jail, chaos, and being counted out. The Harris foundation owners took a chance on former “outlaws” of Whitley County believing lived experience could truly help change lives — and they were right.

Today, we walk back into courthouses, jails, treatment centers, and our community carrying one message: if you’re still breathing, there’s still hope.

Lastly, if you’re ready to change and build a new life… what are you waiting for?

Today, we celebrate two incredible milestones at The Harris Foundation!

Please join us in congratulating Jesse Kendall and Jessica Brummett on successfully completing our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Jesse has shown true determination and growth throughout his journey. His commitment to change, willingness to stay engaged, and focus on building a better future have been clear at every step.

Jessica has demonstrated strength, resilience, and a positive attitude that have inspired both staff and peers. She has put in the work and continues to move forward with purpose and confidence.

Both of these individuals have gone above and beyond in their recovery, and it shows. Completing IOP is no small accomplishment—it takes consistency, accountability, and courage.

We are proud of you both and excited to see what comes next. Keep pushing forward, stay grounded in your recovery, and never forget how far you’ve come.
