Cy-Hope

When we first dreamed of opening our Cy-Hope Sports Complex Powered by Energy Capital Credit Union we knew we wanted to use it for more than just baseball. We envisioned it being a community space to welcome in our neighbors. How exciting to see that vision come to life with our first ever Trunk or Treat!

Thank you to all of the volunteers and partners who came and went ALL OUT on these incredible, festive trunks and making this event one to remember for these kids!

We’re honored to be part of Houston Gives! 💚

Thanks to a nomination from First Community Credit Union, Cy-Hope joined 20 other nonprofits recognized through the Houston Chronicle’s Houston Gives initiative this week, which awarded more than $1 million in advertising space to support local nonprofit organizations. Cy-Hope received $3,950 in advertising support to help spread the word about our mission of Making Life Better for Kids.

We’re also incredibly grateful to First Community Credit Union for presenting Cy-Hope with the 2026 Legacy of Service Recognition Award! This recognition means so much to our team and the children and families we serve.

Thank you, FCCU, and Houston Chronicle, for investing in the organizations making a difference in our community and helping us put hope in motion! 💚

OUR KATY TRUCK HAS BEEN FOUND! 💙

We’re so relieved to have our box truck back! The investigation is still ongoing, so we’re unable to share further details at this time.

A huge thank you to our community for spreading the word and to KHOU 11 News for helping bring attention to the situation!

While we’re grateful to have it back, we’re still facing unexpected expenses, including a $1,300 impound fee and a stolen radio.

A special thank you to Dilan and Jeremy for going above and beyond, taking on extra responsibilities while the truck was missing and making the trip downtown to bring it home. We appreciate you both!

For those who would like to help cover recovery expenses, donations can be made directly to our Box Truck Fund.

At our October food distribution, 127 families received 2,714 pounds of food to help keep their pantries stocked.

We’re grateful for the volunteers who showed up to lend a hand and help make it all happen. These monthly distributions are only possible because of a community that cares about making sure local families have access to food.

Want to help us keep the Backpack Barn stocked for future distributions? Shop our Amazon Wish List to send pantry essentials our way, or make a donation to support our feeding programs.

Hope in Motion starts with people showing up for their community. 💚

Our Feeding Program Director, Maddie, takes us inside the Backpack Barn to share how our food pantry and monthly food distributions help put food on the tables of local families. These efforts are made possible by the generosity of donors who help keep our shelves stocked and our community moving forward.

💙 Help us get back on the road!

KHOU 11 News stopped by to share the story of our stolen box truck and how its loss impacts Cy-Hope’s work in our community.

Our truck helps us pick up large donations for The Hope Chest Resale Market benefiting Cy-Hope - Katy, which helps fund our programs, but it also helps transport food donations to Cy-Hope for our food distributions. Now, we’re raising $60,000 to purchase a replacement truck and a new wrap.

Will you help us get back on the road? Every donation makes a difference as we work to keep donations, food and hope moving throughout our community.

🚚 Donate today: https://www.cy-hope.org/box-truck-fund

Thank you to KHOU 11 for helping spread the word and to our community for continuing to show up for Cy-Hope! 💙
