Last day at CPRIT conference in Galveston, here’s Dr. Michael Taylor from Texas Childrens who has a clear plan and path to PREVENT medulloblastoma, the most common type of brain cancer in children, and disease that claimed Carson’s young life. Brain cancer is the deadliest disease of our Nation’s Children.

You’ll be blown away at his plan🎗️

We couldn’t be more proud to celebrate two extraordinary people connected to the Carson Leslie Foundation who were recognized at the CPRIT 2026 Texans Conquer Cancer Awards.

🧡Annette Leslie, CLF Co-Founder, was honored as a Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas Champion for her unwavering commitment to pediatric cancer research and her promise to Carson to “help the next kid with cancer.”

🔬Dr. Michael D. Taylor of Texas Children's, an extraordinary research leader in medulloblastoma (brain cancer research) who received the Texans Conquer Cancer Award for High Impact Research for his groundbreaking work advancing the understanding and treatment of pediatric brain tumors.

These honors are a testament to what happens when compassion, determination, and world-class research come together with one shared goal: helping kids with cancer and changing what’s possible for their futures.

Congratulations, Annette Aitken Leslie & Dr. Michael Taylor we’re honored to celebrate you🎗️

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month may have ended, but the need for awareness, support, advocacy, and research continues all year long. 💛🎗️

We’re committed to keeping the conversation going and making a difference for kids, teens, and families facing childhood cancer. Don’t let the awareness end with September. Help us keep showing up, speaking up, and fighting for kids.

This month, we joined advocates, survivors, families, and courageously active fighters in Washington, D.C., for CureFest for Childhood Cancer and the 17th Annual Childhood Cancer Summit hosted by the Congressional Childhood Cancer Caucus. 💛🎗

The heart of this weekend was witnessing young patients and teens advocate directly for federal research funding and sharing their stories throughout the cancer community. Their courage, strength, and determination to fight for themselves and their friends is the driving force behind everything we do.

We also extend a special thank you and heartfelt shout-out to Congressman Michael McCaul for his unwavering dedication to the pediatric cancer community and his continued support of the Carson Leslie Foundation.

Gathering alongside this incredible community reminds us of the strength we share when we stand together. You don't have to be in D.C. to make a difference; you can use your voice today by advocating for lawmakers to prioritize childhood cancer research or by donating to support our mission. 📣

Together, we can fund the research needed to save lives and make childhood cancer a thing of the past. Click the link in our bio to donate or learn how you can advocate!

🎡🎟️ Y’all, the State Fair of Texas is officially here — so we brought a little bit of the fair to our pediatric cancer friends at Children's Health.

Here’s to making memories, bringing smiles, and celebrating the State Fair spirit, right where it matters most. 🤠

🔬 Today is World Cancer Research Day, and at the Carson Leslie Foundation, we believe in turning research into hope.

Carson asked that his tumors be studied so that something good could come from what he was going through. Today, we honor his wish by supporting research, advancing collaboration, and investing in the search for better treatments for children with medulloblastoma.

We honor the researchers, doctors, advocates, partners, families, and courageous kids who make this work possible.

Together, we can turn research into hope — and hope into a cure. 🧡🎗

A few more moments from a very special night. 🥂✨

The 15th Annual Golden Toast brought together friends, advocates, families, and champions from across the childhood cancer community to celebrate how far we’ve come and the work still ahead.

From meaningful conversations to lots of laughter, it was such a joy to gather in Washington, D.C., and celebrate the bipartisan momentum behind ending childhood cancer, including this year’s passage of the Mikaela Naylon Give Kids A Chance Act.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so memorable. We’re already looking forward to raising a glass together again next year! 💛

And a very special thank you to our incredible vendors for helping make the Golden Toast possible:
