Our El Paso East clinic is officially in full fall mode! 🍂

Between decorating cookies, getting creative with paint, and brewing up some fizzy magic with a bubbling cauldron experiment, our kiddos had the best time at this year’s Fall Festival.

Beyond all the mess and giggles, days like this are actually huge for progress in ABA. When a kiddo is carefully spreading frosting or holding a paintbrush, they’re working on fine motor grip and hand eye coordination without even realizing it. And watching a cauldron bubble over isn't just fun to see, it opens the door for sensory exploration, practicing patience while waiting for their turn, and communicating excitement with peers.

Big shoutout to our El Paso East team for making skill building look and feel like pure fun!

We know many of our families have seen recent news regarding proposed state budget cuts to Texas’s Children’s Autism Program (CAP). We want to share a quick update to give you peace of mind.

Your child’s services at Empower Behavioral Health are not affected.

• What is CAP? The Children’s Autism Program is a separate grant program run by Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) for families who often do not have other coverage. It is separate from Medicaid and private insurance.

• How Empower is funded: ABA therapy at Empower is covered directly through each family’s Medicaid or commercial insurance plan, not through CAP. Because of this, these proposed state cuts have zero impact on your child’s approved hours or care.

• Status of the cuts: It is also important to note that these cuts are strictly a proposal at this stage; nothing has been finalized by the state.

Our team actively monitors state healthcare policy and insurance guidelines around the clock. If any future changes ever affect Medicaid or private insurance coverage for ABA, we will notify you immediately.
