We LOVE seeing the next generation of healthcare professionals getting their start! 💜🩺

This DHS student stopped by August Pediatrics to get a few vaccines along with her TB screening so she can begin shadowing at Medical City Decatur through Decatur High School’s Health Science CTE/HOSA program! Decatur ISD CTE

We love programs like this that give high school students the chance to get hands-on experience, explore careers in healthcare and see what the medical field is really like. And we especially love getting to play a small part in helping our local students get there! 💜

Oh my goodness… double the sweetness just in time for October! 🎃🧡

These precious twins are less than a month old and already stealing hearts at August Pediatrics. Two tiny pumpkins, twice the snuggles, and a whole lot of cuteness to kick off the month. 👶👶🍂

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month hits a little closer to home for our August Pediatrics family. 💗

For many years, Tera has been such a special part of August Pediatrics. So many of our families know her, love her, and have been blessed by the care and kindness she has shown their little ones over the years.

This past year has been quite a journey for Tera. April marked one year since she finished chemotherapy, and just a few weeks ago, she underwent what she hopes will be her final reconstruction surgery. But the words we are most thankful for came from her oncologist last December: Tera is in remission! 🙏💗
Through it all, Tera has leaned on her faith, sharing, “Only through the Lord is that possible.” ❤️

Tera, your August Pediatrics family is so incredibly thankful for you. We continue to pray for you, cheer you on, and celebrate every step forward with you 🎀

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗

Today our August Pediatrics team is wearing pink to show our support for the fighters, celebrate the survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and stand beside every family who has been touched by breast cancer.

Because behind every pink ribbon is someone’s mom, daughter, sister, friend or loved one. 💕

We want to end the month with this little reminder. 💜

Doc McStuffins was missing part of her foot, and one of our sweet little patients noticed. So, naturally, she did what she thought would make it better… she gave Doc a Band-Aid. 🥹🩹

Such a small act, but such a big reminder. When we see someone who is hurting, choose kindness. Choose to help. Choose to care.

Keep raising kind humans, parents. Sometimes they’re the ones teaching us the best lessons. 💜
