Big feelings can be overwhelming, especially when a child is still learning how to recognize and manage them. Occupational therapy helps children develop practical strategies to understand their emotions, identify what their bodies need, and respond to challenging situations in healthier ways.

Through play and meaningful activities, an occupational therapist may help a child build self-awareness, practice calming strategies, and develop tools for handling frustration or sensory overload.

The goal isn't to stop big emotions from happening—it's to help children feel more confident navigating them. With the right support, children can build skills that help them participate more comfortably at home, at school, and in their communities.

Speech therapy happens everywhere!

Some of the best opportunities to support communication happen during everyday routines—at home, at the grocery store, on a walk, at the park, or while spending time with family.

One simple way to encourage language development is by modeling core vocabulary. Use important, frequently used words such as "more, go, want, help, stop," and "all done" throughout the day. When people hear these words modeled naturally and consistently in meaningful situations, we can find more opportunities to understand and use them in communication.

Remember, every interaction can be a chance to model language, build confidence, and help someone find their voice.

👂 Itchy ears driving you crazy?
Put down the cotton swabs! 🙅

Ear itching can be caused by:
✨ Earwax buildup
🌼 Allergies
🩺 Skin conditions
🦠 Infection
😌 Even anxiety

The safest solution is to find the cause, not scratch the itch. If your ears stay itchy or become painful, it's time to have them checked.

Contact us to schedule an appointment. We're here to help you find relief!
