Body and mind is so adjusted to the first shift dialysis schedule at this point that I am usually awake between 2-3 am even on non dialysis days. So I wake up, have some coffee, eat breakfast, do some work. Sometimes go back for a nap b/t 7-9 am when others get my work: business emails and respond.

The only down side is that by 6-8 pm I am usually zonked out and either go to bed or have to take a nap. 😴 if I have other things to do at night.

Another great summertime fruit option.

Peaches and nectarines are of the same family of fruits with different exterior texture. However, fresh nectarines tends to be higher potassium and less renal friendly. One Medium Fresh Peach: ~185 mg (Safe / Low)1/2 Cup Canned Peaches (in juice): ~120 mg (Safe / Low)1/2 Cup Dried Peaches: ~750 mg (Extremely High—Avoid entirely)

If they are too expensive, you can also opt for the canned peaches and makes a great dessert when chilled as well.

Perfect for the summertime sweet, tart and refreshing when chilled

Happy New Year from the Plant-Powered Kidneys team! 🎉

A fresh year is the perfect time to set intentions, but instead of resolutions that fade fast, let's talk SMART goals that stick.

SMART = Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound.

🔹 Example: "I will add one serving of fruit to my breakfast every day this week."

What’s one small change you want to make to support your kidney health this month?
