Hormone therapy has spent more than two decades surrounded by headlines, fear and conflicting advice.

Much of that conversation still traces back to the Women's Health Initiative, but our understanding of menopausal hormone therapy has become far more nuanced since then.

Timing matters. The type of hormone matters. Route and dose matter. And most importantly, the individual woman matters.

We're unpacking some of the biggest BHRT myths and the history behind them →

Uncover the truth about BHRT myths. Learn HRT myths and facts in this enlightening blog. Gain clarity on hormonal balance and debunk common misconceptions.

If you fought for that HRT prescription, finally got it, and you still feel the same, then I have news for you.

You are not alone. 1 in 3 women who signed up for my last masterclass was already on hormone therapy, and almost none of them had been retested since the day somebody set the dose.

Join me for my upcoming free Hormone Code Masterclass on Oct 22nd at 4pm PT / 6pm CT / 7pm ET.

I'll show you the three ways women get dismissed, undertested, and misinterpreted when it comes to getting their hormones checked. I'll go through the real numbers you should be looking for, and why "normal" is not the same as "optimal," and that gap between the two can make all the difference in how your body feels on a daily basis.

And I'll give you the next steps to getting your energy back, clearing the brain fog, and calming the rage that comes out of nowhere so you can begin to feel like yourself again.

Painful periods? Birth control.
Acne? Birth control.
PMS? Birth control.

But what about understanding WHY these symptoms are happening?

Hormonal birth control can provide relief, but it shouldn't be a substitute for investigating persistent menstrual symptoms and possible underlying conditions.

Forum Health provider Traci Eliszewski, NP, challenges the idea of birth control as a one-size-fits-all solution and explains why hormone health deserves attention long before menopause.

Turning 65 isn't automatically an expiration date for hormone therapy.

For years, many women were advised to discontinue menopausal hormone therapy simply because of their age.

Today, the conversation is more individualized, and factors like symptoms, health history, dose and route of administration all matter.

Dr. Connie Casebolt breaks down findings from a major study of hormone therapy use after 65 and what women should understand when discussing long-term treatment with their provider.

Watch her explanation and read the findings →

Stopping hormone therapy after 65 may carry more risk than continuing it. Explore the clinical evidence and expert guidance every woman should have before making that decision.

Your gut does a lot more than digest your lunch. It’s also one of your immune system’s busiest meeting places.

The lining of your intestines acts like a selective gatekeeper. Tiny structures called tight junctions help control what passes through the intestinal barrier and what stays out.

When inflammation disrupts that barrier, those junctions can become more permeable. That may expose the immune system to substances it normally wouldn’t encounter in the same way, contributing to ongoing immune activation.

In this podcast episode, Amanda Dyar Moss, APRN, FNP-C, explains the gut-immune connection and why looking deeper can matter.

Mold exposure can affect more than your respiratory system.

When fatigue, brain fog, digestive issues, mood changes, or unexplained aches show up together, the connection is not always obvious.

This guide explores:

🧠 How mold and mycotoxin exposure may affect the nervous system

🦠 Why symptoms can overlap with Lyme disease and other complex illnesses

🔎 Why identifying ongoing exposure is an important part of evaluation

🧪 How a functional medicine approach looks at the full symptom pattern

This is much stronger. I’d only make two small edits for flow and specificity:

If you tend to feel run down every fall, don’t wait for the first cold to start thinking about your immune health. 🍂

Sleep, stress, gut health, nutrient status, and recovery all influence how well your body handles seasonal stress.

The goal is not to “boost” your immune system overnight. It’s to support it before the season is in full swing.

If you get sick often, take longer to bounce back, or notice changes in your energy or digestion, talk with your provider about whether testing or a personalized plan makes sense.

A little preparation now can make fall feel a lot more manageable.

Save this for your fall health reset

Why do UTI symptoms keep coming back, even when your culture is negative?

For many women, the answer may be more complicated than another infection and another round of antibiotics.

In this episode, Jana Rogers APRN, FNP-C, IFMCP, breaks down what she looks for when recurrent UTIs, bladder pain, or urgency won’t resolve, including biofilms, hormonal changes, the vaginal microbiome, pelvic floor health, and more.

If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of UTI → antibiotics → temporary relief → repeat, tune in.

Autoimmune disease can affect more than one system in the body.

That is why looking only at the organ involved may not tell the full story. A broader evaluation can explore factors that may influence immune function and inflammation, including gut health, nutrient status, chronic stress, infections, and environmental exposures.

🧬 Why autoimmune conditions can involve multiple body systems

🧪 What comprehensive autoimmune testing may include

Plot twist: Vitamin D does a lot more than support strong bones. ☀️

Vitamin D plays an important role in immune function and inflammatory processes, and almost every cell in your body has a vitamin D receptor.

But here’s the part that matters: more isn’t automatically better.

Your vitamin D needs are personal, and the right amount depends on factors including your current levels. That’s why Krystal Graziosi, MSN, FNP-C recommends starting with blood work rather than guessing at your dose.

Because when it comes to supplements, personalized beats one-size-fits-all.

💾 Save this as your reminder to check your vitamin D levels, and share it with someone who takes vitamin D without knowing their numbers.
