We lost one of our own. ❤️

Sometimes, caregiving comes full circle in ways you never expect.

Our owner’s mother, Sherie, was once a caregiver with Extended Family Home Care. She spent time caring for others and supporting families through some of their most vulnerable moments.

Years later, the roles reversed. Sherie became a client of Extended Family, receiving care from the very caregivers who carry out the mission she once did herself.

And now, with incredibly heavy hearts, we share that we lost one of our own. Sherie passed away surrounded by love and the care of her family.

Watching our caregivers care for our own family was one of the most meaningful and profound experiences we could have imagined. It gave us an entirely new perspective on the work we do every day.

Because behind every client is a family trusting us with someone they love. We understand that trust in a way we never could have before.

We are so grateful for our caregivers and the love they give our families.

Sherie once cared for others as part of our Extended Family. Then, when she needed care herself, Extended Family was there for her.

From caregiver, to client, to forever part of our family.

A beautiful, heartbreaking, full circle.

We will miss you, Sherie. ❤️

Last month, we quietly celebrated 5 years under Brittney Blanchard's ownership of Extended Family Home Care.

As we also celebrate our company's upcoming 20th anniversary, we're incredibly proud of how far we've come together.

Over the past 5 years, we've grown our caregiving team from fewer than 20 caregivers to nearly 100, served hundreds of families, built an exceptional leadership team, purchased our first commercial office, increased our revenue by more than 4.5x, and expanded our services to include skilled nursing.

Brittney's background as a Physician Assistant has helped shape that growth, bringing clinical expertise that strengthens the care we provide and allows us to better support clients and families through every stage of their journey.

To our caregivers, nurses, office team, referral partners, clients, and families...thank you for your trust and support. These milestones belong to all of us.

20 years of family. 5 years of growth, innovation, and leadership. And we're just getting started. ❤️

☕️ We love being part of Coffee & Collaboration, where local professionals come together to build relationships, share resources, and support older adults and their families.

We’re grateful to be part of the Benevolent Care program and to support the shared mission of helping seniors age with dignity and comfort in their communities.
