While everyone needs a will, only about 24% of Americans say they have one, according to the 2025 Wills and Estate Planning Study by Caring.com.

August is National Make-A-Will Month, an annual reminder about the benefits of creating or updating your will.

A will protects loved ones by naming a guardian for minor children or locking-in care for beloved pets. A will is an opportunity to take control of an uncertain future by making financial and real estate plans now, instead of leaving it up to the courts to decide.

Last week, our President and CEO Dan Stephens traveled to Clarksville, Indiana, and attended the Norman Melhiser 18th Annual Samaritan Awards Gala hosted by Personal Counseling Services, Inc. Dan (far right) connected with Andrew Takami and Rosalind Jessie, two of our board members, who were in attendance as well.
