People. Purpose. Community.

Three words. Everyday leadership. That's what you'll find with the TaraVista Nursing Leadership Team.

What sets this team apart is their depth of experience, commitment to behavioral health, and years of service to TaraVista. They believe leadership is more than managing schedules and operations. It's mentoring new nurses, sharing knowledge, offering support during challenging moments, and helping every team member grow professionally and personally.

If you're looking for a nursing career where experienced leaders invest in your success, we'd love to connect.

đź’šđź’šMay really mattered at TaraVista.
Mental Health Awareness Month. National Nurses Week. Hospital Week. A month dedicated to recognizing the people, purpose, and passion behind behavioral healthcare.

We got out into the community with our Sticking Up for Mental Health campaign, shared ideas on building mentally fit workplaces, and packed Hospital Week with food, fun, theme days, and plenty of opportunities to connect. There were stickers, smiles, celebrations, and more than a few reasons to wear green.

The work is serious. The people are extraordinary. And this month, we made time to celebrate both. đź’šđź’š

What makes behavioral health nursing so meaningful? đź’š

Michelle Mascitti RN, BSN, Associate Chief Nursing Officer at TaraVista, shares her journey from joining the hospital when the doors first opened nearly 10 years ago to helping lead and mentor today’s Team Tara nurses.

In this conversation, Michelle speaks with honesty, heart, and clarity about the rewards of behavioral health nursing, the importance of teamwork, and why caring for people during vulnerable moments can truly change lives — including your own.

If you are looking for a nursing career built on purpose, compassion, teamwork, and growth, TaraVista may be exactly where you belong.

As Michelle says, “I’m Team Tara — and you can be too.”

Who’s always sticking up for mental health at TaraVista? 💚
River, our Human Rights Officer, has devoted his career to supporting patients, families, and mental health awareness.

He started at TaraVista as a Mental Health Counselor and has grown alongside Team Tara over the past 10 years. Patients, families, and staff light up when River is on the unit. He brings calm, compassion, understanding — and a whole lot of heart — everywhere he goes.

This weekend, many of us will gather with family and friends. We’ll stand along parade routes, fire up grills, laugh a little louder, and make memories that matter. Memorial Day reminds us how precious life, freedom, and connection truly are.

But for someone struggling with a mental health challenge, those moments can feel far away. At TaraVista and MiraVista Behavioral Health Centers, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live their best life — to enjoy the barbecue, the conversation, the sunshine, the simple moments that make life meaningful.

If mental health challenges are standing in the way, treatment is here. Hope is here. And access to care should not be complicated. Through our Direct Admission process, individuals may access inpatient mental health treatment without an emergency department visit being required.

This Memorial Day, as we honor those who served and sacrificed, may we also remember to care for ourselves, care for one another, and make space for healing.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, green means much more than the fairway.⛳💚

TaraVista was proud to sponsor the Reliant Foundation’s 28th Annual Golf Tournament in support of their work advancing mental health awareness, prevention, access to care, and the community providers making a difference every day.

We’re especially proud of TaraVista Medical Director Allison Beckler, who serves on the Reliant Foundation Board and helps carry this important mission forward.
