Fall is officially here, and though so many good things come with it, so does flu season.

The most effective way to protect yourself from the flu is by getting an annual flu vaccine. The flu vaccine helps your immune system recognize and fight the virus, reducing the severity of symptoms if you do get infected.

It’s recommended for everyone over the age of six months, and it’s especially crucial for individuals with weakened immune systems and those at higher risk of complications, such as the elderly, young children, and pregnant women.

4 Fun Facts to Know About APPs -
1. APPs who are primary care providers are Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants!
2. APPs complete graduate-level education, and may have master’s or doctoral degrees.
3. APPs can conduct physical exams, diagnose illnesses, order lab work and imaging, manage acute or chronic diseases, write prescriptions, and provide health guidance.
4. APPs allow for shorter wait times, easier scheduling, and expand healthcare capacity.
