What a beautiful night at the Circle of Light reception! 🌅🌄

We were so happy to celebrate this exhibition with so many wonderful people from the community. The artwork, led by community collaborative artist Cathren Housley and created together by the youth of Smith Hill Community Library and the seniors of Hattie Ide Chaffee Home, is truly something special to see in person.❤️

I strolled up on these cuties in the middle of a game of memory. I could hear the laughter from a distance, and it drew me right over. I sat down and joined in the laughter. Can you guess who’s cheating?

🪷A Little Gem at Hattie Ide Chaffee🪷
Did you know we have a beautiful enclosed center courtyard? Step outside and one of the first things you’ll see, a lovely fountain surrounded by water clover and water hyacinth, with a stunning water lily blooming right in the middle. Keep an eye out for our bright orange fish too, they make the occasional appearance for anyone lucky enough to catch them!
It’s a quiet, peaceful space, perfect for gathering your thoughts, relaxing, and soaking up some sunshine.
You’ll most likely find Mitch out there! He spends his days in the sun, picking flowers, and watching the water cascade from the top basin down into the pool below.
Come take a peek sometime. It’s one of the quiet joys of life here at Hattie Ide. 💛

Today we celebrated our incredible staff with a special luncheon to say thank you! 💛
Our team works so hard every single day, and this year they went above and beyond during our annual survey. Anyone who works in healthcare knows how stressful survey time can be, but our staff met the moment with grace, professionalism, and heart, just like they do every day.
We are endlessly proud of this team. Thank you for all you do to make Hattie Ide Chaffee Home a place of excellent care and genuine warmth.
You are appreciated more than words can say! 🌸

Something magical happens when Julie Silva is in to set up shop! ✨
Morning coffee traded for curlers and conversation and giggles flowing as freely as the hairspray. Shampoos, sets, and stories, that’s what hairdresser day is all about! Julie doesn’t just do hair, she brings out the sparkle in every single resident who sits in her chair. And honestly? Watching our ladies catch a glimpse of themselves in the mirror afterward, that little smile that says “well don’t I look nice,” might be our favorite part of the whole day.
Beauty is ageless, and so is the joy of a good hair day! 💕

🇺🇸 A special thank you to Harmony Hospice for putting together such a beautiful veteran recognition ceremony honoring our own Mitchell Massiwer! Mitch served in the United States Army, and Harmony Hospice presented him with a Certificate of Appreciation paying special tribute to his military service and his part in advancing the universal hope of freedom and liberty for all.
It was wonderful to see Mitchell’s family join us in celebrating. Harmony Hospice treated everyone to delicious cupcakes, and we rounded it out with some tasty iced coffee. Thank you, Mitch, for your service, and thank you to Harmony Hospice for making this such a memorable day!🧋🧁 🇺🇸

A Special Visit from Nala! 🐾
A big thank you to Kristine and Alexia for bringing their beautiful golden retriever, Nala, to visit with us! Everyone was so excited to see her and give her soft golden coat some well-deserved pats. Nala was full of energy, so it was hard to catch her still for a good picture!
Thank you for sharing her with us. We loved every minute of her visit and hope to see her again soon! 🐶
