He had been to the ear doctor twice.
Tests came back clean. He was told to live with the dizziness.
For years, he avoided crowds, escalators, and turning his head too fast. His world had quietly shrunk to the rooms he felt safe in.
The problem was never his ears.
His neck joints had stopped moving correctly, and a neck full of position sensors was feeding his brain a distorted map.
A brain working off a bad map cannot keep you steady.
We restored the motion in those joints, and the signal cleaned up.
The dizziness he had organized his entire life around started lifting within weeks:
He goes to the grocery store now without planning an escape route.
He turns his head when someone calls his name.
The world he shrank away from opened back up.
We did not treat a symptom.
We gave him back the places he had stopped going.
