🌺 Aloha from our Legacy family 🌺

Our Caregiver & Client Appreciation Luau was one for the books 💙

There’s something really special about getting everyone in the same place—our caregivers, clients, and admin team—all together, not just working side by side, but laughing, connecting, and celebrating one another.

We loved seeing the joy, the conversations, and even a client & caregiver duo showing up in matching shirts (still smiling about that one 😄👏).

From the delicious food to the raffle baskets and fun contests, the whole day was filled with so much laughter and gratitude. But more than anything, it was about taking time to say *thank you*—because our caregivers and clients are truly the heart of everything we do.

This is what Legacy is all about: community, support, and showing up for each other 💙

📣 The budget may be finalized… but the work is far from finished.

This week, Pennsylvania approved its FY 2026–27 budget—and while we’re encouraged to see a long-overdue investment in home health nursing, the reality is this:

👉 The home care workforce crisis remains largely unaddressed.

Across our state:
• Over **112,000 care shifts go unfilled every month**
• Providers are struggling to recruit and retain caregivers
• Families are left without the support they depend on

This has real consequences.

It means someone may go without help getting out of bed.
It means missed medications.
It means families stepping in where systems fall short.
It means more people forced out of their homes—and into higher-cost care settings.

More than **400,000 Pennsylvanians** rely on home-based care to live safely and independently. And yet, reimbursement rates continue to fall behind—making it harder to sustain the workforce that makes this care possible.

💬 “The budget may be complete, but the access crisis is not.”

We couldn’t agree more.
