Another summer at Echo šŸ’™

We were fortunate to spend part of it with 65 college athletes representing 33 programs across 10 states.

There was a lot of rehab, training, testing, and work behind the scenes as everyone prepared for what’s next.

We’re grateful for the trust and thankful to have been a small part of the process.

Have a great year. We’ll be cheering you on from Oklahoma. šŸ‘Š

Meet Kendal, another one of our amazing summer interns and her last day was Friday!

Kendal first came to Echo as a patient, then returned to spend her summer learning alongside our team. She may have been quiet, but don’t let that fool you, she was sneaky smart, incredibly effective, and always found a way to help keep the clinic clean and organized.

Her true superpower? Towel folding. 🄷 We’re talking full-on ninja status… fast, precise, and unmatched!

Thank you, Kendal, for spending your summer with us. We loved having you as part of the Echo team and can’t wait to see what you do next! šŸ’™

Today is Ethan’s last day with us as an intern and we’re definitely going to miss having him around!

From day one of being an intern, Ethan has been willing to jump in wherever he was needed, always with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Whether he was helping our team behind the scenes forced to make TikTok’s or making our patients feel comfortable, he quickly became someone we could count on. If you asked our patients, they’d tell you the same, they absolutely loved him!

As a college baseball player, we know the dedication and discipline he brings to the field are the same qualities he brought to Echo every single day he was here. And while his future in baseball is bright… we’re pretty sure his future in professional towel folding is even brighter. šŸ˜‰šŸ§ŗ

Thank you, Ethan, for everything you’ve done for our team this summer. We know you’re going to do great things, and we can’t wait to see where baseball and life take you next. Best of luck this season! We’ll be cheering you on! šŸ’™āš¾ļø

The final step of rehab doesn’t always happen in the clinic šŸ’Ŗ

8 months after ACL reconstruction, Madison is back training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Kaylie Upton Reagan joined one of her classes to see how all the hard work from the past several months was carrying over to the mat.

Every sport is different and there’s no substitute for seeing an athlete back in their own environment. It’s one more way we can help make the transition back to sport as smooth as possible.

Awesome work, Madison! Thanks for letting us be part of your journey šŸ„‹

Grateful to spend time with the Oklahoma City University DPT second-year class discussing upper extremity return-to-play and clinical decision-makingāœļø

A highlight was working with a professional and college baseball player as live patients giving students hands-on experience evaluating real sports injuries and applying clinical reasoning.

Thank you to Angel Reyes and Bradley Ruby for sharing their journeys and to layla nassar and Ethan Nowell for helping facilitate āš¾ļø

Appreciate the OCU DPT program for the opportunity to invest in the next generation of PT’s!
