Outside of work, she is a devoted wife and proud mother of two. She enjoys spending time outdoors, tending to her garden, fishing at the lake, and caring for her animals.

This week, we are excited to recognize **Alexa Southerland** as our ⭐ RBT of the Week! ⭐

Alexa brings so much energy, compassion, and dedication to our clients every single day. She is currently in school to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant, and we know she has an incredibly bright future ahead.

When she’s not changing lives at TheraPeds, Alexa enjoys shopping, working out, and of course, eating all her favorite foods!

Our spotlight therapist is Kortnei Gutierrez, MOTR/L — and proud owner of TheraPeds LLC!
“Hi, I’m Kortnei Gutierrez — owner of TheraPeds🤍
I started my journey as a COTA, specializing in SOS feeding, working one-on-one with families in their homes. Those early days shaped everything for me — seeing the impact of therapy in a child’s everyday environment is what built my passion for this field. That passion pushed me to grow, and I went on to earn my Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
Along the way, I’ve been intentional about becoming the best clinician I can be. I am a Certified Autism Specialist, a Certified Feeding Specialist, and trained and certified in Sensory Integration. I believe strongly that continuing education isn’t optional in this field — it’s essential to truly serve our kids the way they deserve.
What started as in-home therapy has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. Today, TheraPeds has five clinics and serves families across the majority of the state of Oklahoma. We now offer Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and ABA — allowing us to support children and families in a comprehensive, collaborative way.
But what means the most to me isn’t just the growth — it’s the people. We are constantly educating, mentoring, and molding new clinicians who are passionate about pediatric therapy. Creating a team that truly cares, continues to learn, and shows up for families every single day is at the heart of what we do.
And we’re not done yet. I have a big vision for TheraPeds — to keep growing, reach more communities, and create even more opportunities for both families and clinicians.
