Has your dog recently undergone TPLO surgery for a torn ACL (CCL)? While surgery is a major step toward healing, the recovery process doesn't stop there.

Canine physical therapy plays a vital role in helping dogs regain strength, mobility, and confidence after TPLO surgery. Through customized rehabilitation exercises, therapeutic modalities, and guided recovery plans, physical therapy can help:

✅ Reduce pain and inflammation
✅ Improve range of motion
✅ Rebuild muscle strength
✅ Prevent compensatory injuries
✅ Speed up recovery time
✅ Help your dog return to the activities they love

Every dog heals differently, which is why a personalized rehabilitation program is so important. Whether your pup loves hiking, playing fetch, or simply enjoying comfortable walks around the neighborhood, physical therapy can help them get back to living their best life.

At Pawsitive Steps Canine Rehab, we're dedicated to supporting your dog's recovery journey every step of the way. If your dog has recently had TPLO surgery or you're preparing for an upcoming procedure, we'd love to help create a rehabilitation plan tailored to their needs.

🐾 Daisy is on the road to recovery! 🐾

Daisy was recently seen for rehabilitation to optimize recovery after TPLO surgery (ACL surgery in dogs).

Our rehabilitation program emphasizes a strong home exercise program, empowering pet owners to play an active role in their dog’s recovery. We provide hands-on guidance and personalized instruction, tailoring exercises to meet both your dog’s individual needs and your abilities at home.

As your dog progresses, exercises are advanced every couple of weeks based on healing, strength, and stage of recovery. Early in the rehabilitation process, we typically recommend visits weekly or every other week for the first few sessions, then gradually space appointments out as your dog continues to improve.

✨ Did you know? Many pet insurance plans may cover rehabilitation services! Be sure to check with your provider to see if rehab is included in your coverage.

We also offer post-surgical rehabilitation packages for clinic visits, which include:
✔️ Initial evaluation & treatment
✔️ Five 30-minute follow-up sessions

Helping your pet recover stronger, safer, and with confidence—every step of the way. 🐶
