Being a professional athlete comes with pressure to perform, expectations to succeed, and the challenge of balancing who you are with what you do. But even at the highest levels of competition, it's OK to struggle with your mental health.

In the newest episode of NAMI's Hope Starts With Us podcast, five-time NBA All-Star Kevin Love joins NAMI CEO Daniel H. Gillison, Jr. for an open conversation about his mental health journey, breaking the silence, and finding strength in seeking support.

Kevin shares how his experiences have shaped his advocacy for young athletes and why coaches, teammates, and trusted adults play such an important role in creating spaces where people feel comfortable asking for help.

June is Men’s Mental Health Month!

On June 8th, NAMI San Diego and Imperial Counties had the pleasure of supporting the Rotary Club of Calexico's Men's Mental Health Conference with a Spanish Q&A panel and a resource table. A special thank you to our staff, Manuel, Edgar, Mairani, Leonardo, and Debbie, for their support. A special thank you to all partner agencies that supported this event.

We need all the men in our community to recognize the value of their mental and emotional health within the many roles they play in their loved ones lives.
