What Every Man Should Know About Testosterone Replacement
In recognition of Men's Health Month, I am addressing one of the most frequently asked questions in my practice β what testosterone replacement options are available and which one is right for you.
πΏ Topical Testosterone Cream
The most commonly used form of testosterone replacement. This is a plant-based hormone, meaning it closely resembles the body's naturally produced hormone rather than a synthetic alternative. It is available through compound pharmacies such as Medtime and Matthews Pharmacy, applied daily, and my patients consistently report a significant improvement in their overall well-being.
π Hormone Pellets
Also plant-based, pellet therapy involves the placement of small pellets based on each patient's individual testosterone levels. One of the greatest advantages of this method is its longevity. Pellets last up to six months, meaning my patients only need to address their hormonal health twice a year.
π Injectable Testosterone
For patients who prefer faster results, injectable testosterone is a synthetic option that elevates testosterone levels quickly. It does require more frequent monitoring, however my patients respond very well and report excellent outcomes.
What distinguishes my approach is a commitment to personalized care. I take into account each patient's lifestyle, profession, and individual needs before recommending a course of treatment.
If you are experiencing fatigue, low energy, or a decline in overall wellness, hormonal imbalance may be a contributing factor. Contact my office to schedule a consultation.
