Elk Valley Physical Therapy strives to offer top of the line physical therapy. Who we are:
Andi Geary, MPT, Cert.

Conveniently located off of interstate 79 in Elkview WV, just 9 miles north of Charleston city limits. What we do: We specialize in post surgical rehabilitation, neck and back pain, sports injuries, balance retraining, joint pain, sports specific training, and custom "in house" orthotics. MDT, ATC, is a 1998 honors graduate from West Virginia University with a Masters in Physical Therapy. She graduated from University of Charleston with a BS in Sports Medicine and passed the national exam to become a certified athletic trainer. In 2007, she completed her post graduate course work to become certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. Kaitlin Lowery, DPT

Inflammation often gets a bad reputation.

While excessive inflammation can create challenges, inflammation itself is a normal biological response that helps the body adapt, repair, and recover.

In many cases, complete rest isn't the answer. Appropriate activity and progressive loading can help maintain function, reduce stiffness, and support recovery.

Understanding the difference between harmful symptoms and a normal healing response is one reason physical therapists play an important role in musculoskeletal care.
