Christine "Jenny" A. Lester

Christine “Jenny” Lester, 64, of Ellenville, New York, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her greatest legacy, her family.

She was born on June 20, 1961, in Utica, New York, to Patricia Ann Stacy and Arthur Edward Lester.

Jenny will be remembered for her love of life, music, all things witchy, and, most importantly, her love for her family and those she considered family. She was a matriarch like no other, a woman who welcomed anyone and everyone into her heart, no matter where they came from or what burdens they carried.

She created an unstoppable force in the people she leaves behind and forever changed the lives of all those she touched. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her spirit, strength, and love will continue to guide those who knew her. Her legacy lives on in every laugh shared, every lesson taught, every spell cast, and every act of kindness and love inspired by the example she set. She will be immensely missed, endlessly loved, and never forgotten, our forever Nana.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Lucas Renfrow and Jacob Lester, and her grandson, Jackson Smith.

She is survived by her soulmate, her fur, John Lewis II; her loving children, Joshua Smith and his wife, Candice Smith; David Smith and Kim Candela; Ryan Smith; John Lewis III and his wife, Nilsary Lewis-Rivera; Steven Lewis; and Douglas Lewis; her grandchildren, Karryn Smith, Davanté Smith, Zadiah Coles, Ethyn Smith, Amya Romero, Savannah Renfrow, Lyllian Renfrow, Marcus Lewis-Rivera, Caleb Coles, Cayla Coles, Kylie Renfrow, Isabela Lewis-Rivera, Jaslin Lewis-Rivera, Gunnar Smith, Reed Smith, Anastasia Lewis-Rivera, and John Lewis IV; and her great-granddaughter, Olivia Ka’rryn Berardi.

Jenny’s love knew no bounds, and the family she built extends far beyond blood. Her warmth, wisdom, humor, and unwavering acceptance created a home in the hearts of countless people. While she may no longer walk beside us, the lessons she taught, the love she shared, and the memories she created will remain with us always. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Nana. ❤️
