Jeanine Ann Peck, 69, of Elmira, entered into rest on May 20, 2026 with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Elmira on April 17, 1957, the daughter of John A. and Marilyn (Stone) Dickinson.

Jeanine graduated from Edison High School. She attended Corning College. She married Michael Peck on February 9, 1980.

She retired from Chemung Canal Trust Company after 35 years with their Mortgage Department.

In her spare time, Jeanine enjoyed golfing, gardening and traveling with her husband. Above all, she loved the time that she spent with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jeanine is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Mike; her children, Adrianne Drake and Kyle (Kayla) Peck; grandchildren, Lauren Mase, Briella Peck, Aurora Peck, and Parker Peck; twin brother, John A. (Jackie) Dickinson Jr.; brother, David (Cassie) Dickinson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St. Elmira on Sunday, June 7 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. A Celebration of Jeanine's life will follow at the Elks Club, 300 E. Gray St. Elmira from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Regina V. Duffy

Age 94, of Elmira, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026. Regina was born in Elmira, NY to the late Joseph and Sophia Rutzke. She was predeceased by her husband, John, to whom she was married for 59 years, and her beloved daughter, Susan LeClair. She was also predeceased by her siblings Bernard Rutzke and Sister Rita Rutzke, SSJ.

Regina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. She is survived by her children, James (Dorothy), Joseph (Theresa), Thomas (Kristen), Patricia Santulli (Thomas), Deborah Grasso (Gerry), John (Gretchen), Son-in-law Larry LeClair; 12 grandchildren: Amanda Passanisi, Bryan, Timothy and Scott Duffy, Kevin and Patrick Duffy, Mallory Duffy, Jennifer Talavera, Christopher and Kathleen Grasso, Michelle Noonan, Michael LeClair, Ryan and Erin Vanderpool; 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Bellinger (John) with whom she shared a very close bond.

Regina was very proud of her nursing career. She graduated from Saint Joseph's Nursing School in 1952 and worked at Saint Joseph's Hospital for 17 years. She also worked as plant nurse for the A & P plant in Horseheads, NY for several years. She finalized her nursing career by working for Doctor James Gray for many years. Regina was also the neighborhood nurse for the many families who lived on Irvine Place who called on her in times of need.

Regina was a devout Catholic and life-long communicant of Saint Casimir's Church. She attended St. Casimir's grammar school and Catholic High School.

The family would like to thank the caregivers who gave her excellent care at home for a numbers of years and the staff of the Chemung County Nursing Facility who cared for her in her final months.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26th at McInerney Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held there Wednesday, May 27th, at 9 a.m. followed by her Mass of Christian burial at St. Patrick's Church at 10 a.m.

Those wishing may remember Regina by donating to The Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish or Meals on Wheels (envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church).

Sylvia Jeanine Parker

Sylvia J. Parker, 67, of Elmira, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2026.

She was born on April 20, 1959 in Big Flats, New York, the daughter of Lyle and Betty (Ross) Markle.

She married Charles M. Parker on March 3, 1983.

Sylvia was well-known, well-loved and never knew a stranger. Everyone who knew her knew that she would put a smile on your face and she would do anything for you. Above all, Sylvia will be remembered as the greatest wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the glue that kept the family together and she lived for her children and grandchildren. She was a constant presence with her consistent, strong love to her family and she will be greatly missed.

In in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Ross; sister, Kathleen Ross and brother-in-law, George Parker and sister-in-law, Betty Jean Parker.

Left to cherish Sylvia's memory is her husband of 43 years, Charles M. Parker; children, Charles Parker, Jr. (Brittany Niver), Christa Parker and Martie Parker (John Decker); grandchildren, Jeanine Mullen (Hunter Smith), Jared Mullen, Jacob Mullen, Tyler Parker, John Decker Jr. and Alexis Decker; many great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A celebration of Sylvia's life will be announced soon. No prior visitation. Donations may be made in Sylvia's name to Arnot Health to support dialysis treatments that helped keep Sylvia alive for several years. Please donate through their website, Make an Online Donation. Joseph William Ryan Jr.

Our beloved Chip Ryan passed away on May 14, 2026 surrounded by his family and good friends at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Chip was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. As a friend and mentor, he touched generations of those who love the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer.

Chip was born in Elmira, NY on June 23, 1953, the son of Joseph William Ryan, Sr and Rita Gresko Ryan. He grew up in Hammondsport where he developed a lifelong love for Keuka Lake. He graduated from Hammondsport Central School in 1971 and attended Corning Community College. His work-life was in sales, first at Hudson Shoe Company in Corning, then insurance sales in Columbus, Ohio, and as a credit negotiator at CCS IN Elmira.

Chip's last position was his dream job as a salesperson and fishing guide at Nushagak River Fishing Lodge in Bristol Bay, Alaska. It remained the highlight of his life in the outdoors.

Chip will be best remembered by all those he introduced to the outdoors as he taught them fishing and hunting skills, along with the respect for and love of nature. He is considered an invaluable friend and mentor to generations of families throughout the Finger Lakes area. Many considered him a father or grandfather and he was called "Chippie" by the many young people he helped grow into responsible adults who love the outdoors.

One of Chip's many talents included his favorite activity of storytelling. He had endless adventures to share and loved to relay them in detail to all who would listen. Most of the stories were true.

He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rita Ryan.

He is survived by his cherished son: Joseph William Ryan, III (Tripp) and grandson Carter Joseph Ryan; Tripp's significant other Blair Cundy and her children; sisters Mary Bernadette Ryan; and Connie Ryan and her son Anthony Ashley; cousins J. Scott Ryan and Kim Ryan Clark; and more, dear cousins county-wide. Chip also leaves behind an immeasurable number of friends whom he positively influenced and considered family.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St. Elmira, NY for calling hours and a prayer service on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 from 4 - 6 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Tanglewood Nature Center and Museum or the National Wildlife Federation.

The family wishes to thank all of the ED staff, ICU staff, and medical specialists at Arnot Ogden Medical Center for their exceptional and compassionate care of Chip and our whole family.

Richard Day "Dick" Hughes, 88, of Elmira, passed away on May 12, 2026 at Chemung County Nursing Facility surrounded by his loving family.

Dick was born on July 28, 1937 in Elmira, a son of Henry E. Sr. and Carolyn (Day) Hughes.

He worked for General Electric until its closing. Dick then worked for 19 years as the Industrial Arts Training Supervisor at Elmira Correctional Facility until his retirement.

He was a parishioner at St. Mary's Church in Elmira. Dick also enjoyed his friendships and memberships at the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, Elmira Elks Lodge #62, Elmira Lodge #517 Loyal Order of the Moose, and Knights of Columbus Elmira Council 229.

In his spare time, Dick enjoyed being outdoors with family and friends, whether he was sitting out by the pool, soaking up the sun or hunting, fishing, or boating.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Henry E. Hughes, Jr. and his brothers-and sisters-in-law, Joseph Sr. and Priscilla "Percy" Keefe, Michael and Sharon Keefe and Bonnie Keefe.

Dick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Catherine "Katie" (Keefe) Hughes; daughter, Carolyn E. Carpenter; grandchildren Samantha Carpenter with fiance Kurt "DJ" Ames, Nicholas Carpenter and fiancee Malissa Stapleton and Ian Carpenter and Emily Dobson; great-grandchildren, Killian and Elliana Ames and Lochlan Carpenter; bonus great-grandchildren, Ava and Oliver Ames; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, John J. "Jack" Keefe; Mary and Dennis Wolfe and Catherine Wigsten Hughes of Elmira; along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water St., Elmira on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 4-7 p.m. On Saturday, May 23, 2026, The Hibernians will have a prayer service at St Mary's Church, 224 Franklin St. Elmira at 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Mass will be livestreamed from the church. Sherwood E. O'Dell Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherwood E. O'Dell Jr., who left us peacefully on May 6, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on April 15, 1952, in Elmira, NY to the late Sherwood O'Dell Sr. and Patricia O'Dell, Woody was a lifelong resident of the area, known for his friendly demeanor and dedicated work ethic.

Woody was a proud Army veteran, having served from January 28, 1972, to January 20, 1975, where he attained the rank of Specialist, and was awarded the National Defense Medal. After his military service, he transitioned into a career in the food service industry, working as a forklift driver for Flickinger's Inc., where he became a familiar face and a cherished colleague.

Sherwood is survived by his brother, Steven (Dena) O'Dell; niece Laura (Sean) Kane; nephews Philip (Megan) O'Dell, and Christopher O'Dell who will remember him fondly. He built lasting memories with his family and friends, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

As well as his parents, Woody was also predeceased by his sister Pamela O'Dell.

Family and friends will gather at Woodlawn National Cemetery, 1825 Davis St., Elmira NY 14901 on Friday, May 15th at 3:00 PM where military honors will be rendered.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Beloved Mother and Grandmother MaryJane (Lutz) Weaver. She was born on May 16th, 1929, and was the daughter of Arthur F. and Julia M. (Waters) Lutz.

MaryJane's legacy was the Family she created. She is survived by her children: Linda M. Riner, Elmira, NY, David G. and Janette (Wakefield) Weaver of Roanoke, VA, Susan J. and Steven Mower, Elmira, NY, Ricky G. and Lori (Garrison) Weaver, Hermitage, TN, Patrick G. and Cynthia (Agan) Weaver of Charlotte, NC and Katrina N. and Michael Nichols, Elmira, NY

Grandchildren: David (Rhonada) Weaver, Mary-Elizabeth (Alex) Dove, Anne Catherine (Tucker) Burch, Wendy (Scott) Seymour, Ricky Weaver Jr., Sean-David (Jamie) Weaver, Michael-Anthony (Lindsey) Weaver, Nicolas (Halle) Weaver, Isabel and Gabriella Weaver.

MaryJane graduated from Southside High School in 1947 and was a volunteer at Meals on Wheels in Elmira for 20 years.

She was born on March 11, 1952 in Elmira, the fourth child of eleven born to Henry P. and Marguerite E. (Leslie) Sandore.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother and sisters, Theresa, Henry, Linda and Margaret and brothers-in-law, David Knapp, Larry Stratton and Jack Smith.

She is survived by her brother and sisters, Helen Smith, Karen Stratton, Nancy (Bill) Walworth, Joyce (Mark) Plaisted, Jim (Mary) Sandore and Jane (Bob) Sandore; brother-in-law, Bob Allen; sister-in-law, Betsie Sandore and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
