🎶 What a beautiful evening! Residents from The AbbeWood enjoyed an outing to hear The Cleveland Pops Orchestra perform on the steps of the Lorain County Courthouse. With wonderful music, great company and a gorgeous sunset as the backdrop, it was a weekend experience to remember! 🌅💛

🌻 A little seed can grow into something beautiful!

A few years ago, a bird planted a seed at Helen’s home, and much to her delight, it grew into a sunflower. Helen saved its seeds and recently brought them to The Abbewood to plant in our courtyard.

Thank you, Helen, for sharing this special piece of your garden with us. We can’t wait to watch the sunflowers grow! 💛

🚗 Last week, The Abbewood hosted an unforgettable car show featuring 40 incredible vehicles!

Our residents helped select the Best in Show and Residents’ Choice winners, while our team chose the Staff Choice recipient. For some residents, it was their very first car show, making the evening especially memorable! 🏆

Guests also enjoyed raffle baskets generously donated by Mercy Health, Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care, FirstLight Home Care, the VFW and The Abbewood. Our 50/50 raffle was another big success, with proceeds benefiting the Office on Aging. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this wonderful cause! ❤️

Our Dietary Team kept everyone fueled with pizza, chips, pop and water, while our Activities Staff worked tirelessly behind the scenes to plan and bring the event to life.

Despite the heat, the evening was filled with beautiful cars, laughter and lasting memories. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make it such a success!

🎪 We kicked off Fair Week with some classic county fair games, friendly competition, lots of laughs, and plenty of fun!

Our residents had a wonderful time competing for tickets 🎟️ and choosing some great prizes. A huge thank you to Nick from Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care and our wonderful volunteer Joni for all of their amazing assistance and helping make this game day possible! 🎈 We truly appreciate your time, energy, and support. What a fantastic way to start Fair Week! We can’t wait for all the fun still to come! 😀
