Yesterday was my 40th birthday 🎂
And it got me thinking about another milestone birthday 8 years ago.
At the time, I weighed almost 300 pounds and had spent years starting and stopping my weight loss journey.
I wasn't lacking information.
I wasn't lacking motivation.
And contrary to what I believed back then, I wasn't lacking discipline either.
What was missing was an approach I could actually live with.
So for my birthday, I made a decision...
I was done starting over.
Not done struggling.
Not done learning.
Not done making mistakes.
Just done quitting on myself.
I hired a coach and committed to seeing my journey through.
The problem was... the program was super restrictive.
I lost weight, but I quickly realized there was no way I could live like that forever.
So I started making adjustments.
Keeping what worked.
Letting go of what didn't.
Learning how to eat, move, and take care of myself in a way that fit my actual life.
Eventually, those adjustments became the foundation of what I now call Eat Clean-ish.
A simple, practical approach that helped me lose over 100-lbs and maintain it for years.
Looking back, the thing that changed my life wasn't finding the perfect plan.
It was deciding to stop starting over long enough to create one that worked for me.
And that's exactly what I help other women do today.
Not become a different person.
Not follow a rigid set of rules.
Just build habits that fit the life they're actually living 💜
What's one healthy habit you've had to modify to fit your real life?
