💛 A QUICK NOTE ABOUT CANCELLATIONS
First - this is NOT directed at one specific person. 😂
As I’ve said before, I usually wait until something happens 3+ times before I address it publicly because I don’t want anyone feeling singled out. But this past week, the lack of responses has really ramped up.
I genuinely understand being frustrated by a same-day cancellation. I have kids. I get it. Life happens. I’ve had appointments canceled on me same-day, and yes - it sucks.
And I promise, I don’t casually cancel on you. There have been times I’ve literally sat and cried for 10 minutes before sending that text because I feel terrible about inconveniencing you.
But sometimes I have to take care of myself, my health, or my kids. Because if I don’t take care of me, I can’t take care of you.
All I’m asking for is a simple acknowledgment that you received the cancellation.
“Got it.”
“Okay.”
“Received.”
👍
ANYTHING. 😂
Because when I don’t hear back, I genuinely don’t know if you got the message.
Then I’m sitting at the office sick as a dog or supposed to be taking my kid to the doctor - waiting through your appointment time because I’m worried you’re going to show up.
And honestly? I’d rather you text me and say:
“Kick rocks, Shawna. I’m pi**ed.” 😂
I can handle you being pi**ed. I understand.
What we’re NOT gonna do is completely ignore me and leave me wondering if you even know your appointment was canceled.
I appreciate everyone’s patience while we navigate Don’s new schedule, sick kids, sickness, and all the chaos that comes with this time of year.
I respect your time. Please respect mine. ❤️
Sometimes all I need is a little “received.” 🫶
