Ten years ago, a devastating sledding accident left Bensten with a severe traumatic brain injury and a long road to recovery. Today, the 18-year-old is a competitive cross-country runner with an offer to run at the collegiate level – and he's considering a career in physical therapy. 🏃
His journey inspired his sister, Izzy, to become a nurse in the same Inova Children's Emergency Department where Bensten received lifesaving care. ❤️
