With 10 years of experience in pediatric oncology, MG says one of the most rewarding parts of her work is the relationships she builds with patients and families. These connections have also shaped her as a therapist and a person.

⚾️ The Washington Nationals brought some extra fun to Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital this week!

Nationals players Jacob Young, Andrew Alvarez, Cade Cavalli and Drew Millas spent time with pediatric patients and families. They talked about baseball and sports, favorite toys and movies, and answered plenty of curious questions. 😊

Ten years ago, a devastating sledding accident left Bensten with a severe traumatic brain injury and a long road to recovery. Today, the 18-year-old is a competitive cross-country runner with an offer to run at the collegiate level – and he's considering a career in physical therapy. 🏃

His journey inspired his sister, Izzy, to become a nurse in the same Inova Children's Emergency Department where Bensten received lifesaving care. ❤️
