Did you know your breath can support your Pelvic floor?

Inhale to lengthen, exhale to support. Try it today and notice the connection!

Breathing isnt just about oxygen, its also about pelvic floor support, core coordination, and nervous system regulation. Small changes in breath can make a big difference. 💗

Come exercise with me as a pelvic floor physical therapist 🤍

Staying active during pregnancy is not only safe for most women but it also recommended. Movement supports circulation, strength, mental health, and prepares your body for labor and recovery.

Here are some pregnancy-safe lower body exercises to keep you strong and moving through every trimester 💪

• Squats (box or supported as needed)
• Split squats or reverse lunges
• Step-ups
• Glute bridges / hip thrusts
• Romanian deadlifts (light–moderate load)

A few key guidelines to keep in mind:
• Breathe continuously. Avoid holding your breath (no Valsalva)
• Exhale on effort and connect to your pelvic floor
• Decrease loads to ~60–70% of your pre-pregnancy max
• Prioritize control and stability over intensity
• Modify range of motion as your body changes
• Stop if you feel pain, pressure, or symptoms

Every pregnancy is different! It is essential to listen to your body and work with a provider you trust! If you have specific questions about specific exercises for you, you can find us at Pelvic Pro Physical Therapy!

Had such a great conversation with Katarina today talking about all things breastfeeding + body support 🤱

We discussed:
✨ Common breastfeeding challenges
✨ Why pain isn’t something you just have to “push through”
✨ How positioning + body mechanics can make a huge difference

This is exactly why we created our Breastfeeding & Body Support Workshop—to support moms from the inside out 💛
