OVERTHINKING IS THE ART OF CREATING PAIN FROM IMAGINATION.
Most suffering does not come from what is happening right now.
It comes from the mind replaying the past and rehearsing disasters that may never happen.
One thought becomes ten.
Ten thoughts become fear.
And fear becomes exhaustion.
The mind creates storms, then trembles at its own thunder.
Buddhist wisdom teaches us that thoughts are not facts.
They are passing clouds.
You do not have to chase them, fight them, or believe every single one.
Overthinking begins when you try to control everything that is uncertain.
Peace begins when you finally accept that not every question needs an immediate answer.
Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is pause.
Breathe deeply.
Come back to the present moment.
Right now, in this exact moment, you are likely safer than your mind is telling you.
The future has not arrived.
The worst-case scenario exists mostly in imagination.
And your peace is too valuable to sacrifice to thoughts that haven't even become reality.
Let the mind settle.
Not every storm deserves your attention.
