DRM Deaf Services Some of our programs:
• Telecommunications Equipment Lending Program – amplified phones, captioned phones, TTYs.

DRM's Deaf Services program serves Maine individuals who are D/deaf, late-deafened or hard of hearing, through advocacy, information & resources, and communication access. and related accessories
• Civil Rights advocacy, public education, free ADA legal services, ASL Community meetings, Scribe Services - written material in ASL, free public videophone
• Maine Relay Services Outreach including Re

lay Conference Captioning, IP Relay, WebCapTel and Speech-to-Speech Relay
• Peer Support Group for non-verbal communicators, Visual Gestural training classes for caregivers, friends and family
• Deaf-blind Equipment Program for Maine people with a combined vision and hearing loss

It’s almost time!

Deaf Culture Week is coming up September 17–26, with events happening across Maine and ending with the 35th Deaf Culture Festival at Mackworth Island on September 26!
There’s a lot happening this year, so check out the full schedule and start making your plans.

Join the Maine Association of the Deaf (MEAD) for the next 2026 quarterly meeting. These meetings are open to the community and provide updates, discussion, and opportunities to connect. All meetings are held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
