The entire team at Family EyeCare Associates cares about your vision and eye health and wants to stress the importance of annual comprehensive eye exams. Eye exams can reveal undiagnosed diabetes by detecting damaged blood vessels within the retina or undiagnosed high blood pressure, allowing these conditions to be treated early, in

time to prevent life-altering blindness or stroke. Heart disease, indicated by deposits of cholesterol and blockages in blood vessels, can also be detected during a routine eye exam. Of course, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration can be detected early allowing for more effective treatment.
