Please join us in giving a warm NatureTalks welcome to Miss Elissa, our newest Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)!

Miss Elissa is a Northern Arizona University alumna and licensed AZ SLPA with a minor in Business. She brings a passion for helping others, a strong work ethic, and a genuine love for building meaningful connections. With more than two years of experience working with children, she is excited to begin supporting families through speech therapy services. She is also expanding her communication toolkit by specializing in American Sign Language (ASL), reflecting her commitment to inclusive communication for all.

When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her enjoying the outdoors, exploring new adventures, and making the most of everything Northern Arizona has to offer! 🏔️🌲

Miss Elissa will soon be providing in-person speech therapy services throughout the Flagstaff area, and we couldn’t be more excited for the positive impact she’ll have on the children and families we serve.

We had such a wonderful time at today’s Muddy Hands Playgroup!

Our Muddy Hands Playgroups are designed to foster language development, early literacy, social connection, and joyful outdoor exploration through play.

Today we:
🐚 Practiced pre-literacy skills by finding our names written on seashells.
🌎 Learned how to introduce ourselves in both English and Spanish.
🍊 Explored descriptive language during our Food Explorers snack by talking about the attributes of mandarin oranges.
🤎 And, of course, spent plenty of time getting muddy, exploring nature, and making new friends!

At NatureTalks, we believe some of the best learning happens when children are free to play, discover, and connect with the world around them. Thank you to all the wonderful families who joined us today. We can’t wait to see you at our next playgroup!
