Today, our 3rd Floor Sunshine Club brought the islands to St. Joseph Villa with a Tiki Party on the Patio! 🏝️🗿🌺

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon filled with gorgeous weather, tropical music and vibes, amazing decor, and wonderful conversation. They also made ambrosia as a treat to share with each other and a signature “Sunshine Blue Lagoon” beverage! ☀️🌊

Congratulations to Jackie Frasca on her retirement from the Villa!

Jackie has been an overnight nurse at the Villa for 18 years on the Skilled communities. Jackie’s love of the residents is evident in the care they recieved. She will be missed and we wish her well as she begins the next chapter of her life’s journey!!

Yesterday’s presentation, "Faith, Freedom & Community," highlights the inspiring parallel history of major U.S. milestones alongside the rich heritage of the Sisters of Saint Joseph (SSJ) of Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia.

From the sparks of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 to modern milestones like the historic 2008 presidency and the 2015 marriage equality ruling, the presentation showcases how the nation's journey intersects with the unwavering mission of the Sisters. It honors the courage of SSJ members who served as Civil War nurses, taught newly freed children in the 1860s, pioneered wartime synthetic rubber science, and marched for civil rights at Selma.

Celebrating local expansions—including the opening of Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown and various modern community, affordable housing, and immigrant alliance centers—the presentation beautifully reinforces a timeless shared mission: living and working so that all people may be united with God and one another.
